I have the Seasonic M12-II Bronze Evo 520 watt PSU (fully modular, flat cables, 5-year warranty). I bought it in November 2014, and it is lightly used. One day recently, I started to have freezes and reboots on my main system (it will crash/reboot after only a minute or two). The system probably takes 180 watts, nowhere near the capacity of the PSU. Using a different PSU eliminated the crashes.
I cannot see any bulging capacitors inside, but my view is not very good - it is still under warranty and the seals are intact.
I don't have an ESR meter. Should I try to repair this myself, or send it in to Seasonic? Will Seasonic send back the same PSU, or a different unit?
Any advice?
