    APC UPS Schematics

I've got a SmartUPS 1400 (rackmount) that has an issue with reading the incoming line voltage as too high and keeping the voltage trim feature active all the time. I grabbed the commonly available schematics off of eserviceinfo.com and studied what I found. I googled a few things from those schematics and hit the jackpot.

The following site has quite a collection of APC schematics and so far has remained online (though how long it will remain so after I post this is unclear).

its the russians again...... probably that archive will stay online forever....

does your unit nuke the batteries also? https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1839

isnt there some software setting for what you want (i forget, probably its with poor choices anyway).....its a common complaint with any APC product that does trimming. the Line-R units do that also and unfortunately they make terrible buzzing sound when they trim down.

Yeah, mine (SU1400RM2U) nuked the batteries a couple of weeks ago (in addition to the voltage trim problem). I could only get the battery tray about a quarter of the way out, and haven't had the motivation to pull it out of the rack and take it apart.

I remember the setting that you're referring to, and I believe I set it to the highest setting.

actually bending the battery compartment casing open is not too bad. but if they are the original batteries they will be nicely stuck down with double sided tape which is rather fun.

I grabbed a bunch of those PDF, but could not find a schematic for my APC 2200. Anybody got one?

Looks like directory /734 on the site is for the 2200, I no longer have any of my UPS' to crosscheck with though.

            Cheers,
            Alex

Yes, it looks like 745J.pdf is the file for the 2200. Thanks for the pointer.

                Re: APC UPS Schematics

Willawake, I finally got around to unracking the UPS. Rather than bend the case trying to get the old batteries out, I hit the one that was stuck with a 3lb sledge hammer (not hard enough to rattle much other than the tray). They came right out.

It also turns out that I probably don't need a schematic to fix it... I found a bad 250VDC polyester film cap under the slot that the management card slides in to. The side of the cap was completely blown out (probably from surge). I'll order some replacements the next time I make a Mouser order.

                  Re: APC UPS Schematics

Is it a fault in the UPS that causes the batteries to swell up? I figured it was because someone had ignored the battery failure warning beeps on the UPSes. When I was looking after that stuff, I replaced dead batteries promptly, and never had to deal with a swollen battery pack.

I don't think its a fault in the UPS itself. I feel it is a shortcoming of the battery type used. Not being able to replenish the electrolyte is probably the main killer. The entire pack getting nuked and swelling is probably related to overcharging from a failed cell. Prompt attention and replacement obviously eliminates the issue. That, and avoiding cheap offbrand Chinese batteries. I seem to have the best luck with Powersonic and CSB. I'm sure everyone has their own opinions.

Anyone out there still have a Schematics for the APC 1400 Smart UPS. The Russian Site no longer has any APC Schematics available.

                            Asus Nexus 7 2012 (ME370T REV 2.4) Schematics needed
                            by Popalwali
                            Hello Everyone,

I will be really grateful if someone shares schematics and if possible the boardview of the old Asus Nexus 7 (2012) Tablet. The motherboard is ME370T Rev. 2.4. Now I can find schematics for the Rev. 1.0 but I could not find the schematics for the Rev 2.4. I tried to look for similarities in the Rev. 1 but there are somethings missing, plus the board i have has nearly no component names printed on it which as a newbie makes pretty hard for me to locate things. Any assistance will be appreciated. Thank you.

I'm a road musician and an electronics tech and I got schematics for just about every piece of gear in my band from this site and they are free to download. It's always good to be prepared in case you fry something while on on the road, which always happens it seems. https://schematics-free.com has a lot of free audio schematics...

JBL Soundbar 2.1 Deep Bass PSU No DC Power Output (Detailed, w/ Schematics)
                            by _AcE_
I have two of these soundbars, both with the exact same issue. The soundbars were hit by lightning and no longer power on. The PSU does not output any voltage on the DC side. When plugged into mains, the DC output is a stone-cold 0.0 volts. The AC side of the PSU seems to be functioning correctly (as far as I can tell). When checking the plugged-in PSU with my thermal camera, the OB5269CP PWM controller (U1) and the two resistors (R12 and R13) pulse on and off. These run to the positive DC side of the bridge rectifier (among other components along the way).

                            There's no physical damage...

Help identifying a chip for Lenovo Slim 7 16IAH7 - schematics needed
                            by trepachka
I have this Lenovo Slim 7 16IAH7 notebook that is not booting properly. All voltages are there: 5v, 3.3v, 1.8v but it's still a no-go.

I spotted this IC chip with markings "6611c" on it. The coil near this chip measures around 200 Ohms which I think is too low. But without the schematics, it's just a guess.

I wonder if someone has the schematics for this board or perhaps, can help me identify this particular ship. Thanks....

I'm trying to explore on fixing things like this GPU I have, it got two resistors missing when I received It. Its for an old PC the seller even told me its r5 240 and seemed its even flashed to show its r5 240 but the PCB says 109-C55357-00_02 V309 OUGA11 please can I get its schematics and Bios Flash? It has 1GB DDR3 memory, and I believe it is based on AMD Oland XT/Pro (HD 8490). thanks in advance!...
