Displaying lots of white = buzzing sound

I thought I had mentioned this before, but anyway...

I'm sitting hear reading a manga in jpg form, and I just let windows open it with it's typical viewer so I can just use the arrows to switch between pages. I had to let one return to it's original size to read everything comfortably, and when I left click on the slider and move it up and down, there is a buzzing noise inside my computer, only while moving. I can use the middle button to grab the page and slide up and down and it does the same thing. (I use a Logitech Wingman 3-button gaming mouse.) I don't remember if this happened before I recapped the PSU or not. And actually, I'm not certain it's coming from the PSU. There are a couple of inductor coils around the CPU, and the noise seems to be coming from that general area. I'm not positive. I thought maybe the video card, but if I put my head down past the video card, it doesn't seem as loud as when I'm above it on the solder side, near the CPU.

What in the world is going on?

my trick is to stick a length of heater hose over my ear and move the other end over the area i suspect.
should work well in a pc like it does for finding noises in cars/trucks.

Just make sure, you switched of yur speakers ;-) it is quite common that the vid card strays into the sound card.

Maybe it's just my ears but I find it harder to locate the source of higher frequency noise like from an inductor, using a hose. The noise still seems to come from everywhere and the easiest way I found was to just temporarily unplug any fans nearby (only long enough to find the noise, a couple dozen seconds should be enough) and firmly put my fingers around each inductor while the noise was present. When I'd found the culprit then it is liberally coated with epoxy. Better to use a non-metalic epoxy, I think JBWeld and some generic versions of it have iron or steel in them.

Every now and then I come across motherboards with the network adapter parts integral to the ethernet socket and nothing can (easily) be done about that, unless you're bold enough to try to desolder the whole thing, disassemble the metal shell to get inside. I doubt it's the ethernet though since the noise seems correspondant to a change in processor load while manipulating the image, not networking.
