Re: Thermaltake TR2 430W W/O PFC
Seriously, no 12V 4 pin or 8 pin connector? I find that hard to believe since it's an ATX PSU. This shouldn't have two PCI-E connectors, is one of them 8 pin? Anyways, this is a single rail unit, so you can solder the yellow wires to where the other yellow wires are installed. You'll need a beefy soldering iron to heat up that area. The black wires can go with all the other black wires. You'll also want to at least replace all the capacitors on the +5VSB circuit, because this unit has a "critical capacitor" if it goes bad, it will fry your motherboard. Pictures would be nice

Re: Thermaltake TR2 430W W/O PFC
You are correct, and I mistook an 8-pin connector for another PCI-E connector. Closer examination revealed that it is actually 2 4-pin connectors that snap together and can therefore be separated.
DUH!
Just color me with the idiot crayon!Last edited by Roving Geek; 09-03-2014, 04:32 PM.
