Sony AZ series HCR-AZ5D Power Issue

Ok i have this set for sometime now and suddenly there's problem with power. The red standby light is working, but when u press it to on the unit, its like the set is on low battery. If u press the power button again, the light comes back to red standby. If u don't press the button back again, then the red light starts flashing. Is there a problem with the power supply? Less power supplied to the main board? Faulty power supply? Theres no display either. Only the power red light works. I thought it was cold solder joints, i re soldered everything, still same. TO check the power supply voltages, i dont have the diagram either Can anyone help pleaseeee.....

Hello, I'm new to the group and to trying to repair a LCD TV. During the past few years, I've been collecting/repairing/restoring vintage personal computers (Commodore, Apple II, Atari, TRS-80, Texas Instruments, and Timex Sinclair). This has been my retirement hobby. Now I've gotten interested in trying to repair a LCD TV that I have and used regularly when working on vintage computers.

The LCD I'm working on is a Insignia NS-LCD019. I've downloaded the service manual that I could find, but it must be a different revision since not too many items in the service manual match the TV...

Sony 55X900E no standby light, no power. Replaced mainboard already
    by noinimod
    No standby red light, nothing
This Sony has a separate AC->DC power adapter supplying 19.5V to the TV power board (JK3)

Disconnected JK3 power board from main board, checked voltages on all the pin outs

At a few pins I can see the power supply providing 19.5V to the main board

Based on the service manual triage.. it seems to be pointing towards the power board (JK3) being the most possible culprit

LED light turns on when I disconnect LED driver board ribbon from mainboard (so i thought it is the mainboard,...

Sony SLV-E780 Power Supply Issue – Clicking Sound, Need Help Identifying Faulty Component
    by Akuanka
    Hi everyone,

I'm troubleshooting a power supply issue with a Sony SLV-E780 VCR. The device clicks repeatedly but doesn't power up completely. I've already replaced five capacitors, but the problem persists.

Here's a video link https://photos.app.goo.gl/3Xki6yvCLn67gLX78 showcasing the sound. Based on your experience, could this be due to a transformer, diode, or another component? Any guidance on what to test or replace next would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!
