Does anyone have a Vantec Stealth 520W?

I really need to replace the crappy Fuhjyuu caps in my main computer's PSU, but I can't bear the downtime...

Does anyone have one of these laying aroung that could give me a list of the caps so I can order new ones? I thought about totally replacing the PSU but I really need the switched AC outlet on the back, which most newer/better PSU's don't seem to have.

Then again, if anyone knows of a good quality 600+ watt PSU with an outlet on the back, that would be a better route to go I think. Then I could just recaps the Vantec and move it to another PC.

This is the first I have heard of an ATX PSU with an AC outlet, let alone a switched outlet. I have been following current ATX PSU models for two years now.
The Vantec Stealth 520W Froogles for $88.

psus with outlet used to be quite common back in the day. Nice for office computers because they would switch off the monitor too when the computer was shut down, never can trust the employees to do that. Unfortunately they are not common at all in quality psus.

I assume you wish to switch of the monitor and peripherals when you shut down the computer. I am aware of a product for the UK market that does this by sensing the change in current at the wall. It is called intelliplug . There must be a similar one for US Market.

found one in google smart strip guess these dont work with UPS though.....

Hm is this a normal master slave switch? those are pretty common and cheap here, i have a few bought from ALDI for about 8€.
The only problem with them, the master porwer outlet is limited to abouth 500w, but untill today the power sensing resistor survived the inrushcurrent of my 500w Amacrox PSu.

I've thought about it, and I think the best thing to do is make a relay box that controls an outlet for all my peripherals. I could control it with a hdd power connector and run a wire outside the case, or maybe use the power from a usb port... I know there are retail options but I like to make things myself

Of course I would need a diode and ceramic cap on the relay coil to prevent inductive kickback into my PSU
