[Help] How to power up a Compaq PSU without PC?

    Hello

Maybe you guys can help me.

I own a PS4060 from Compaq. It was used in Proliant 3000 Servers. I now want to use it as a Power Supply for my Car-Radio that I use at home.

My old "normal" ATX-PSU died and I got this PS4060 really cheap, so I want to give it a try. BTW, it has more POWER )

But I don't get it to work. I also have the Backpanel which is used in the servers but ... nothing.

    Any ideas?! Please?!

is it a standard atx psu? If so, just jump the green wire to a ground wire and it should fire up. But, since you're asking... should we assume that it's not a standard ATX psu?
    Ludicrous gibs!

      Hello

You're right. The Compaq PSU is not a normal ATX

In this thread you can see pictures:
      http://www.repdata.de/wbb2/thread.ph...1277478ec04578

The output at the PSU is nothing normal and even the backplane has no original ATX connectors.

The backplane looks similar to this one:

The compaq PSU is a PS4060

The only thing I got to work, was the fan starting to run, but no voltages were measureable. Seems like the PSU is in Stby...
