    Delta DPS-250AP-28

I just pulled a SFF ATX PSU from a SFF Desktop machine.

I plugged in my psu tester all voltages are present, check each one for voltage using DMM to confirm and they are there. If you plug it into the motherboard, voltage drops severely, and the computer will not start. The computer turns on fine with another PSU, so the problem is with this PSU. This sounds like bad caps.

I took it apart and there was a dust bunny the size of a golfball stuck around the caps and another smaller one at the back around the copper coils.

The board is has Taicon and Ltec and capxon.

I can't upload photos at the moment, unable to find camera cable.

    Caps on the board:
    Capxon GL 100uf 35v 8x15
Capxon GL 1500uf 16v 10x20 *Top vent bulged
    Ltec LZG 470uf 25v 8x20
    Ltec LZG 100uf 25v 5x11
    2x Ltec LZG 2200uf 10v 10x28
    Ltec LZG 2200uf 6.3v 10x23
    Taicon PW? 1500uf 16v 10x30
    Taicon PW? 680uf 16v 8x20
    Taicon PW? 2200uf 6.3v 10x25
    Taicon unknown *probably PW* 680uf 10v 8x15

There are two really small ones One is capxon GL probably 50v 2.2-47 cap but the other one I can't identified, it's under wire hardness it's black with gold text, One the side it has TH then 105C, but brand or voltage is unknown because it's laying flat on the board.

Should I replace all? Or try to replace bulged one? I have a 1500 FM but it's 12.5x20 too fat to fit in the tight space. I also have samxon GD 1800uf 16v that would fit in the place of the bulged capxon.

Also Why do Taicon have PW written on it? I can't find a datasheet for it.

Taicon PW = Nichicon PW. As a replacement, either Nichicon PW or Panny FC can be used. Same goes for CapXon GL. I think the ESR of LTEC LZG is a bit lower. Similar to Panny FM or FR.

I'd say replace them all and be done with it.
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

Your replacements look good. Chemi-con LXZ are on par with Panny FC and Nich PW for specs
