Thanks for the upload. The Rev2.2 files are inFZ format. I have found a key but how do I make openboardview to work with this key?
Go into Program Preferences, scroll down until you see the FZ key box. Copy the key then click inside the box to put your cursor there. Use CTRL+V on your keyboard to paste it in, you can`t use right-click + paste.
yes it is working now! many thanks for the tip, I had no idea it was so simple.
Anyway the Asus is back from the dead. At first the bare mainboard did power up but no image on the ext hdmi screen. After some tries/boots it went straight in the legacy bios, very fastly, 5secs after power on.
There I was able to install new bios version, but when I attach the SSD I wont boot.
Then I thought that maybe the MB can not boot without its own lcd? I connect the lcd and indeed it booted up! I cloud install W10 w/o issues. But after some driver updates the initial problem was back: after a few minutes working it throws BSOD: Video Scheduler Internal Error. I turns out the the auto installed videodriver was the issue, I download the nvidia package from the site and now it works fine!
Still not sure what made the laptop dead at some point after testing the issue? No image at all. Which made me removing the board and suddenly it came back...
So all good for now, let's put this complicated designed laptop back together...
Hello, i am new to this board and have also an problem with an Asus N76V laptop. I downloaded and paid via paypal the fritzing program to be able to view the board diagram. But as i try to open the file in fritzing it occurs an error at opening:
The XML Code for component 1 has an error in line 1: error occured while parsing element.
Does anybody have the same error and knows maybe the solution? Thx a lot

Never heard of that fritzing program, you can open the files with free boardview software such as openboardview (you need to add the fz key, available on the irc channel,or someone might send it via pm ) ,and BoardViewer. Which file was it you are trying to view ?
Hello SMDFlea, thanks for your reply. Well it seems i bought the wrong software :-X ...
(I googled for the file extension .FZ and google told me for the PCB program Fritzing... )
OK now i tried Boardviewer and it works like a charm. My problem is with the laptop if you push the power on button it starts for 2 seconds and goes off. So i took it apart and started to measure the voltages for 1,8V and there is no voltage at the conductor PL8200, there is a short to ground somewhere in this area.
The next i tried i desoldered mosfet PQ8201 and C2627 and C2617 and started to turn on the laptop and then the schottky diode PD8201 started to smoke...
Removed the PD8201 and the power switch is now stable on but no screen and no function at all... since this seems to be the voltage for CPU ??
If someone has had the same error please reply :-)
