    Yep, they're all relating to the lack of the FZ Key sadly.

    Because it's Open source software, we cannot legally supply it with the required FZ decoding key (it's available, many people have it, but we cannot provide it).

    One of those annoying issues

    I might talk with piernov and see what we can do about making those "Assert" errors a little more human readable, thanks.

    Can you give us a dump/error? What Windows OS?

    Also, do you have the FZ key installed so you can decode the fz files?

    Perhaps come over to the Github repo and make an issue-ticket?

    Basic support implemented, see https://github.com/inflex/OpenBoardV...ment-244615864 .
    You can grab the binaries here: https://github.com/piernov/OpenBoard...leases/tag/N10 .

    Thanks. There's a fellow piernov who will probably be working on that over the next couple of days. The separate file format and one of the existing brd formats are quite similar, just the one we've already done everything is consolidated in to a single file (rather than split in to separate ones).

    You can keep track with development if you like at this URL -

    https://github.com/inflex/OpenBoardView/issues/43

    Almost at 500 additional commits since the master release of OBV.

    Would be nice if someone could fine-tune the dark theme on OFBV to make it feel crisper.

    We've switched over to a new build engine ( no longer using VS2015 for the Windows build ). New binaries available.

    Interestingly, I still get a single false positive on https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/d...is/1472262260/

    Keep up the good work. It is really very useful.

    Latest build adds only two small changes; more transparent default top-ray for NetWeb, and add a pin-circle for pads on the underside (which make it visually easier for you to then target to flip the board at that location without losing the mental context).

    See https://github.com/piernov/OpenBoardView/releases for latest OS X binary, Debian package and Windows OpenGL build (may not work).
    https://github.com/inflex/OpenBoardView/issues/36 is still up-to-date for Windows DirectX 9 binary.

    New update built. More items configurable.

    * Selectable primary flip mode (viewport or mouse pointer, the latter so you can see what's under the board at the same point). Pressing shift+space/middle-mouse will flip the alternative method.

    * Same-net web, connects each other pin on the same net with a line from the current pin (will probably add a nicer branching algorithm in the future to reduce the level of fan-out). Current NC, Unknown and GND nets are not drawn with this (meaningless or too prolific).

    Picture showing the same-net web draw example. Fine blue lines are indicating that there's pins on the other side of the board at those locations.

    FlexBV FREE Edition - Modern Boardview software for Win, macOS and Linux
    by inflex
    Now available, FlexBV Free edition is a slimmed down product of the full licenced version.

    https://pldaniels.com/flexbv5 ( available on the downloads page or most of the way down on the main page )

    If you're looking for a modern alternative to existing boardview programs that's also cross platform then consider giving FlexBV Free a go.

    So what's missing?
    * Schematic/PDF coupling
    * Butterfly view
    * Donor board part searcher
    * Jobs
    * Annotations

    What's new/improved compared to others?
    * OBData...

    What OS are you running these days? I am down to 3 Windows workstations and one Windows Server on my LAN, everything that doesn't have a windows-specific need has been moved to Linux. Printing abilities with my large document centers are Linux's kryptonite; the reason for 2 of the Windows machines. The third machine still has Win7 on it, and isn't connected to the outside world. It has tons of software on it I use for diagnostics and updating various hardwares. My main rig is still Win10 Enterprise, so I had to vote Win10 in the poll...but I have overwhelmingly more linux machines than windows...

    DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG error re. old drivers in Windows 11 install image
    by japlytic
    In a Beelink GTR mini PC, mine has an Intel AX200NGW WLAN module.

    Tried (only with keyboard/mouse connected):
    • BIOS + database update
    • Using latest Windows 11 image built with official image creation tool
    • Previous setup version for Windows 11 installer
    • Replacing SSD without a slow block (the previous SSD had a slow block with access time > 500 mS)
    • TPM reset (worked to the point where DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG error message is displayed briefly after the point of stalling)
    • Disabling power to WLAN and LAN modules in BIOS (Advanced > AMD PBS > PCI Express Configuration)
