If you want to confirm a short on the 19V power line, you must remove the resistor 10mOhm, but you did not give me the picture I asked for. So I don't know where is this resistor.

Can you point where is the area of the mobo you need the picture ?

Sorry, but I can't find the resistor from the pictures you already post. You should start with changing this chip (BQ735), if you still don't have 19V on the motherboard, we need more troubleshooting to find the defective component. (But I was right about the screen)

Ok, since only 3 of us have participated to this thread, if the solution is the above, i will give 20 bucks to each.
Just a little sacarsm.
Will kreep updated once i receive the new BQ.

@passete, I don't do this for the money, give the money for a good cause. I'm an Electronics Technician, I know what I talking about for your problem. But i don't have the schematics for your laptop, so, i extrapolate the troubleshouting from what I have.

Will a BQ25A work in replacement of a BQ735 ?
Or is there a compatible IC ?

Received today the bq735, i don't see any change, still no voltage on bios ic, power switch etc ...

10 milliOhm resistor was located near sw5901 visible smd part with R010 on it

I don't have any continuity on the 3 Points that i've measured, but i get a low voltage, 0,98V.

This is strange, if i use the metal cases of the usb/hdmi as ground, i get no continuity, but i found a point on the mobo that i can measure 0,03 Ohms on the 3 points

So, you've found short circuit at 19v rail.

use asus ux31a2 scheme as reference, on 3 points what you've measure it was P_CHG_PATH_19V_SHAPE

HI, i have the same problem and i changed the two fet neaarly the power boton (as show on the joined picture), and the pc turn on an reborn.

Are you 1OO% sure that your problem was the same ?
Before changing the fets, what were the voltages on those 2 ?
