Thank you so much for posting these files, however I am unable to open the brd file in a number of applications.

Could you please tell me what application worked for you with this file?

Replace the U9200 IC, maybe it's causing a short to ground.
Just measure/find the pins that connect to ground, and find out which shouldn't connect
to ground, that's the simplest way to find out if it's toasted.

Removing that R6920 just prevents the current to reach U9200 so it don't get hot anymore.
Resistor can be blown too, it often measures too high resistance.
It still measures around 47 ohm?

I threw coffee on my Pc. the backlignt isn't working any more. I've found a bourned capacitor next to the display connector. But I don't know his capacity. I also guest that the fuse could be nasty. I need to know how I can open this boad file. I've tried eagle. It doesn't work

Use this: http://openboardview.org/ to open boardview files.
You'll need the schematics too to know the right component value.

Hi. Thanks for schematic and board view.
As I can't make a new thread jet, I'm asking for help here.
I have a macbook A1424. I don't know a history of it, but I got it dead at all without visible water damage, with broken screen connector which I replaced, a broken IO board connector which I repaired and missing zener diode 6.8v D6910 which I replaced with 6.2v for testing as I had it already.
When I plugged a charger in - green light came up, then it turned orange. Only a fan started to spin for about 3s, then stopped and started again making a continuous loop. Black screen and no chime. Orange light came green so the battery was charged. I managed to stop the loop by pressing power button when fans spins. The same with battery only no loop - by pressing a power button fans starting to spin and stops after few seconds. Then I left it connected to charger turned off for some hours and after pressing a power button in turned on with chime and started to boot. Then it turned off again and started the loop. I left it again and could turn it on again for maybe 10-20s. Same with battery, only no loop. So it turns on for half minute after letting it powered for about half hour. I think there is something with power supply and I hope someone has experience with something similar. As I started with Q6910, I know, that main 16.5v stays there when it turns off. I found that PP5V S0 and S4 turns on/off with the fans on off loop. Also cpu gets quite hot in these 30s (too hot to hold fingers on cooler)
                                    Thank you in advance.

OK. It's even more interesting. Tried to boot from USB installer when I finally could turn ir on again and it didn't turned off - I could reinstall os without problems till final boot, when it turned off in final stage. Tried to boot normally, but it turned of in final stage again. Then next time I booted in safe mode and it booted up successfully. CPU was still too hot, but macbook didn't turn off. Installed updates and now its off again. Maybe there is some failed device USB controller, CPU/GPU, thunderbolt etc., that's not allowing to start up and to boot up normally? What if I delete some kexts one by one to find a bad thing? Without that kext it should boot up normally, am I right? Or maybe there is some better idea?

                                        Re: APPLE A1425 820-3642-A Schematic

                                        Good early morning...
I did have some experience some 30 years ago working on electronic circuits.
Rusty is an understatement at this point, but I am a quick learner.

With your guidance, I would love to learn about fixing this A1425 logic board.

I picked up a liquid damaged a1425 macbook pro.
                                        1. the biggest issue is that the battery is no longer detected.
For a long time, it stayed at 15% - though the charger light stayed orange forever.
After not using this macbook pro for 2 months, now the battery is listed as "0" in the system profile detail.
But the charger light is orange thinking it's still charging the battery.

                                        2. the trackpad was erratic, so I bought a new one to replace (what I thought was bad) it.
This new trackpad is less erratic, yet still shows some issues
This problem #2 is not so critical at the moment.

I have downloaded the PDF schematic and board view file.
Soon, the logic board will be taken out and examined.

Would you please provide tips on how to start?
I noticed most folks mention U7000
I've also checked the battery related pages in the schematic.
As I have not done this before, your true and tested knowledge is immensely appreciated.

                                        Cheers
