Hi-Grade/Clevo/Zoostorm W76TH

Hi, I'm looking for a schematic for a Hi-Grade (joke name lol) W76TH Laptop, also known as Clevo W76TH and Zoostorm W76TH.

This laptop came to me a few weeks ago, it was full of malware, sys files corrupted, in a v bad state. Could not get it running correctly so re-imaged the drive (Win7) and everything was then running great.

2 weeks later it comes back with a dull screen, it powers up ok, screen nice & bright, it will sit there for hours like this but as soon as I press a key, any key, the backlight fades. It does not go completely black, just very dim. Same with a USB kb. Same with another screen.

Works fine on an external monitor.

Must be an inverter, bought one on Ebay, same outcome.

I'm thinking LDVS chip?

I'm not great with component level repairs but I can swap a chip out if I can find a donor board.

So any advice Guys? Anybody got a schematic? I had a search here ftp://helpedia.com/pub/temp/uploads/ but can't find it.

meritosari, thanks for the link, this looks like the board I'm looking at http://repo.palkeo.com/clevo-mirror/W76xT/ but there is no schematic.

This issue is not windows related, it is the same with the HDD out of the laptop.

Any clues?

Now I have to try to test it
