    Toshiba M505D-S4000 schematic

Good day guys. Does anybody here have schematic for this laptop Toshiba M505D-s4000. AMD Turion II M520. Radeon HD 4200 graphics. Problem is, no display. Light turns on, but cpu fan does not spin when power button is pressed. Processor warms up. Already flashed bios from Toshiba website and did a mild reflow but still no go.

    Board labels:

    -M4 MAIN BOARD
    -REV: 2.1
    -P/N: 08N1-0BU3Q00
    -H000023280

    Hope someone has. Thanks!

Thanks ktm. I think its the southbridge chip, the one I circled in the picture. I just applied a reflow just now and it worked. I still don't have the right tools to fix this one so I'll send it to someone else. I was just curious why its has no heatsink as it gets very warm.

        Re: Toshiba M505D-S4000 schematic

I'm back for this laptop again. It worked for a couple of hours after reballing southbridge. But another problem occurred, it shuts down a couple of mins after boot. I noticed it got fluctuating 25v on pin no 6 of bios chip, that's strange. I don't know where it leads to. Hope someone have schematic for this. Thanks very much

I traced where pin 6 (sck) of bios chip goes to (It took me a while to understand without schematic and component prints @_@). Its connected to pin no.105 of SIO chip (IT8512E). It has a resistor in between but I don't know the exact value. I'm not sure if it has caps also.

I measured pin no.105 which give same fluctuating voltage. I haven't removed the resistor as I'm very tired of trying to fix this motherboard. Just a question if resistor is ok, will this mean that SIO chip is faulty? thanks guys!
