Is does do nothing at all. nothing lights up. Totally dead.
I checked all of the fuses, nothing there.
Put back one of the C's, other pictures on the net showing one C only.
Checked the application doc from the BQ24753 , typical system schematic and I see 4 mosfets, Q1 and Q2 are ACfets, Q3 is BATfet and Q4 is on the HIDRV.
On the mobo I see only the 2 pcs, Q1 and Q2, But what is there function?
and which one are they in the application doc?
If they are the Q1 and Q2 ACfets, they have the 19,60V on drain and source and the gate gets 13,31V so it is open, but is the 13,3V not too high?
ACDRV and BARDRV do not change when you plug in the battery.
I am bussy trying to understand the doc and the meaning of the signals and that way get to understand the functions.

Use the schematics of MBX-215 (as recommended). Most circuits are the same.
Start by checking main cois for resistance to ground. Take hi res picture of both sides of the board so anybody can read the markings of the smd's on the board.Comment

The pictures is the best res my camera can do.
I tried using the MBX-215 schematic but the first 2 C's where I was looking for did not exist. I will try for the other components.
After many many hours on the net, I found the block schematic from the MBX-243. The correct one out of the SM from the VPCE24Comment

As you can see you got short on L3 and L4043. According to the MBX-215 schematic are on the 3vrun line.
On 3.3v/5v regulator you give some values and you mention that the rest are 0v. In order to have those values you need 19v on pin 6 ???????????
Pin 4 14,06v ??????
You can check the shorted line by suppling 1v-0.2 amp on either L3 or L4043 and slowly increasing the amps (do not exceed the 1v because you are not sure this is 3v line).
You can check what is getting hot. The best way is a digital thermometer with a thin thermocouple (like the omega one's) which have quick responce.Comment

Checked again and I do not have 19V on pin 6. Max is 0,5V
Pi 4 is really 14,06V.
For the other values typing them is useless, because all of them are very low or 0V
This is all very strange, where did the 19V go and where does the 14V come from?

Guys, I'm sorry but I misunderstood something.
DJ_ricoh asked me if I could inject voltage and I said yes, because I thought on a fixed power supply or adapter.
The instruction from Atsio make me see it has to be a Lab power supply, which I don't have.
So I have to check the entire 3V rail for wrong components by hand.

Hi Guys,
I am still fighting with the board and ran in to something.
On pin 6 from U16(SN608098) suppose to be Vin = 19V, but I have only 0,6V.
When I folow the traces, opposite pin 6 I find a C, not connected.
From there it goes to the other side to PR208, Which seems to measure over 100MOhm.
To me it looks to high, but on both sides I meassure 0,6V.
According to the MBX215 schematic, the Vin is decoupled by a C and with a resitor from 0 ohm connected
to DCBATOUT, which is 19V?
Today,while handling the board, I suddenly missed PR208. Completely of the board.
The traces on both soldering points looked very bad coroded with something, so it was never good connected
and thats why I measured above 100M.
I put a correct PR208 and have 19v ON PIN 6 AGAIN.
Regretfully it does not work yet, but a couple of values changed.
pin 1 - 1.93
pin 3 - 1,09
pin 4 - 14,06
pin 5 - 3.64
pin 6 - 19,60
pin 7 - 0,45
pin 13 - 0,11
pin 17 - 0,3
pin 19 - 0,45
pin 20 - 0,45
pin 29 - 1,93
pin 32 - 1,02
all others pins - 0V
There is something else I do not understand.
Oposite and connected to pin 2 of U16 is a small resister that measures as a short to gnd.
In the schematics of the mbx-215 page 47, pin 2 is connected to system vcc and via pr121 connected to agnd
pr121 is 0 ohm. what is the meaning. It looks like a straight short.?Attached FilesComment
