Hi all,
I'm am looking for schematics for HP 17-cn0234ng (Motherboard 6050A3261101)
So I got a Laptop with no sign of life. No light, no reaction to power button but 4mA of current draw.
Main power rail was present but all other voltages where missing. Coils measured ok.
I located 3.3v regulator and injected low voltage and found a heat spot near the lid sensor. I could narrow it down to a resistor that was getting hot. I removed it and it measured around 60ohms. No clue what it is doing or if that's the right value even. So schematics would help.
I removed the resistor and the laptop has now charging light and is even charging the battery. It is reacting to power button now and tries to start. Chip set is coming up (getting warm under Thermal cam) and taking 50mA.
But no picture , no Vcore and no RAM voltage.
I want to find out what the resistor I removed is supposed to do. I have a feeling it's related to the chip set unfortunately...
Any help or thoughts are highly appreciated :-)Comment

by Geeker007Hi All,
So my friend was visiting and he wanted to use my solder bench to solder on some WLED circuit board. My laptop was open on the side for RAM upgrade. I know my mistake.
So while soldering he had too much solder on the soldering iron tip and he just shook off the soldering iron on the table itself to remove extra solder on the soldering tip and it landed on the motherboard of laptop. He then out of fear tried to remove it using solder wick and did more damage by removing some components as well. So here I am with weird situation.

by rddubeHello everyone,
OK, so here is my issue.
This Lenovo B470 motherboard I am troubleshooting died and I identified it is the discrete Nvidia graphics chip that has lost it's ways!
So I removed it and now I am trying to change this motherboard to use UMA graphics, but I am having an issue interpreting the attached diagram. I have a 10K resistor in at the R2013 position and another one at the R2012. R2010 and R2011 are empty.
The motherboard starts, the fan spins but no display. It turns off by itself. I restart it and it does start but stays on...08-12-2024, 02:01 PM - Loading...
