Re: HP Pavilion 13-S FAUCHON-BDW MB 14259-2 BIOS
Bios backup toolkit does not backup the whole bios, even though the file is 8MB the whole ME region is empty. You`re beating the dead horse with this one , all because you don`t have a WSON8 adapter.

This sub forum is only for bios requests. The bios updated successfully, you have a hardware problem, start a new thread here if you want more help -> https://www.badcaps.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=23
Due to hdd strange fault i was confused, bcz accurate voltages and hdd data, it was looking same like that hdd hardware is ok. so i was insisting for bios. but after new bios the prob is same as beforeComment

by BloodhoundjeHi everyone,
I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.
I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.
After initial testing I concluded the bios seems to be corrupted since all voltages are normal and there are no shorts. HP has a feature for a bios restore from USB with winkey+B for this model. This did not work.
I have desoldered the bios chip (GigaDevice...-

by macabookHello everyone,
I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
🧩 Initial Issue- Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
- External display (HDMI) shows

Hello everyone,
I'm dealing with a classic BIOS corruption issue on an HP Pavilion 15-n058sr and hoping someone here might have the original BIOS file or point me in the right direction.
Symptoms:- Laptop powers on but no display at all (completely black screen)
- Caps Lock blinks twice with a pause, then repeats continuously
- F12 LED stays on permanently
- No POST, no boot sequence, nothing on screen
Based on HP diagnostic codes, the 2-blink Caps Lock pattern indicates BIOS corruption/failure.
What I've tried:- Hardware reset (battery removal, power

by jbonavitaHi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
Some issues
A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized
Things I tried
1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...-
