Summary of BIOS Whitelist Removal Problem

      Problem:
I am attempting to remove the WWAN card whitelist from my Lenovo ThinkPad T560.
      Initial Findings:
      • My current BIOS version is N1KET58W (1.45).
      • I have a CH341A programmer and have successfully created two full backups of my BIOS.
      • I have the ability to use command-line tools on a Linux machine.
      Troubleshooting Steps & Conclusions:
      • I attempted to use several automated and manual patching methods on my N1KET58W (1.45) BIOS, including using hex strings. These attempts all failed.
      • I concluded that the

Lenovo 15ARH05 LCD whitelist removal request (Yes. display whitelists....)
      by techcraze
Long story short. i am building a fully custom car radio. and want to use a extremely bright LCD.

sadly the DGPU seems to be nonfunctional after i fixed the bios (fried voltage controller). so the Original HDMI port does not work.

you can use a EDP TO HDMI adapter to add a HDMI port as replacement to the onboard EDP LCD connector,

HOWEVER it turns out. lenovo enforces a LCD whitelist.

this means you cannot upgrade the LCD despite matching EDP specs and voltages.

If i connect a new screen directly to the system. only static shows....

Lenovo X270 Bios - remove Whitelist
      by xsd611
Hello, this is a BIOS file for the Lenovo X270 laptop, read out through a CH341 programmer. I located error 1802 in the PE32 module. This is a detection for the network card's whitelist. How can I bypass or remove the whitelist check? My skills are limited, and I have tried many times but ended up with a black screen. How can I normally bypass this whitelist check? Please help me edit this BIOS file, thank you. It would be great if you could provide illustrations to guide me. Thank you very much!...

      by LncAhG
      My Lenovo X380 Yoga:

      Model: 20LJS0MP00
      SN: MP1ME1R9
      BIOS: 1.41
      BOard: LA-F421P

does not accept my WWAN cards Sierra 7305 or 7455. I get the dreadful "1802 unauthorised card..." message.

I have spent hours searching for a patch and stumbled across
      https://github.com/digmorepaka/think...rmware-patches
I have tried the xx70_xx80_patches_v7.txt file (using UEFIpatch) and some patches could be applied but not
      those of the whitelist section.

      I even extracted the LenovoWmaPolicyDxe_LenovoWmaPolicyDxe...
