If the keyboard type on your notebook is German ( QWERTZ ) or French ( AZERTY ), connect a USB keyboard with QWERTY type
Restart your laptop before any password attempt
Enter the password slowly. Pay attention to big and small letters. Rewrite the password identically,
Sometimes the password has non alphanumeric characters like [ or ]
After entering your password, press the left Ctrl key and continue holding it, press Enter twice
If you have locked bios settings, don't press OK button. Always use CTRL + ENTER combination
If you filed for the first time to remove the password, restart your computer and try again.Comment

First pass from you was working
just...interesting... i was not able to enter it in bios settings because all was greyed.
I have entered it in boot menu ... and now is all unlocked.

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,... -
