HP Elitebook 840 G1 BIOS Issues

    Hello Folks,

i have a HP Elitebook 840 G1 with a locked BIOS and i have bought a CH341a (black PCB). My problem is that the Bios Chip reads 25Q128A 13ECO and i cannot find a profile for this chip in any of the software recommended in the guide threat in this forum. The chip cannot be detected wich i dont find too surprising, but i can read the chip with random other profiles selected.

I have found a post in this forum in wich the user stated he was able to flash this exact chip with the CH341a and the testclip, but unfortunately this user is no longer active. In his post he states that this chip is 3volt and that he was successful with asprogrammer, wich gives me hope this is possible.
    Heres the post:

So to my Question. What would be a smart way to read the correct bios dump, can i just use a similar profile?

    best regards

yes..try a similar profile...but remove the bios chip from the motherboard before reading the bios chip
