I applied the file in post 2 and the wifi device is still not showing in Device Manager. So, it seems the wifi circuit has an issue. I am just going to get an external usb wifi adapter. Thank you.

Can someone fix the original file so that I figure out whether the mising WiFi is a hardware or software related issue? Thank you.

As listed in the post above, there are 3 files inside the .zip folder, dumpBIOS.bin being my original dump.

Hello everyone, so i don't remember setting up a supervisor password but i have one, and i don't know it. And made it worse...

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14ALC05 Type 82HU and I wanted to dual-boot linux and windows, that's when i tried to access my bios to change the boot order and saw that it prompted me to enter a password to access. I tried 3 times, no codes, only a message saying it's locked and that i have to reboot and try again.

So what i did was, dump my current bios bin file with a CH341A programmer, got a clean bin file for my laptop from this forum and compared them. I changed the following information: Manufactering Date, S/N, MTM, Mo and Windows Key (0x5ea030 for the laptop information and 0x617090 for the Windows Key).
Then with the programmer and using AsProgrammer i flashed my bios... Only for it to get bricked (i think). Now, when i press the power button, what happens is: i hear the fan spinning a bit and the keyboard backlight turns on but turns off after a few seconds and only the Caps Lock and Fn Lock key stay on and when pressed the light becomes brighter and when released it goes back to normal, they don't totally go out. And the screen doesn't light up.

    I have linked:
    • My original bios before anything happened (dumpBIOS.bin)
    • The clean one (Flex 5-14ALC05 - Type 82HU)
    • And the one i flashed after having it modified (newbios.bin)
I don't know if i didn't change enough information, if i missed something but i certenly messed up becausa now my computer won't even turn on.
If someone could help me i'd be appreciated
