Download the bios from the support site https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp132...0/sp132835.exe

Run the exe and choose to save to a location.The bios will be decrypted and extracted to the location you chose. Now open your backup with a hex editor and search for the word BID ,you`ll see your bios version.Open the virgin bios as well with your hex editor (same BID version) .Copy the DMI and key from your backup using the off-sets in the picture,and paste-insert into the virgin bios using the same off-sets.

the original backup is 16 mb and the file i got after these steps is 32 mb

The bios update has 4 different bios,run the exe,choose to save to a location.All 4 will be extracted. Your bid is 0864B.bin .

If you can`t see the file extensions then change your windows file explorer options,untick "Hide extensions for known filetypes"
