Hello,
I’m repairing a Dell Latitude 7410 (board ID LDX40 / LA-J263P) that is stuck in a boot loop: no screen, just flashing diagnostic LEDs (3 amber / 6 white).
I need a dump of the main BIOS SPI chip (16 MB) to reflash using a CH341A/AsProgrammer.
I don’t need the smaller EC chip — just the main BIOS.
Specifically, I’m looking for a 16 MB BIOS bin file (~16,777,216 bytes) compatible with this board version.
If you have a clean working dump (your own backup) or know where I can safely download one, I’d be extremely grateful.
This is my first time doing this so any help is extremely appreciated, been trying to fix this laptop for awhile now.

Hi, Thank you for replying to my post. I am still very new to this so I had some questions. The file you sent, am I supposed to insert it into the original corrupted BIOS file? Or am I supposed to flash this directly? I keep reading that I am supposed to use a 16MB file. Thank you for trying to help me and I hope someone can answer this question for me.Comment

I try to open the bios using flash tool Ver 14.0.32 or 14.0.60 getting error 237 and 9.
i cant find 14.0.31.1119.

Hello everyone.
I have come here with a rather specific question. I was given a Dell Latitude 7420 laptop with a busted screen, and wanted to see if I could refurbish it into my daily driver. I wanted to experiment and see if a 2-in-1 display would work as the chassis of the laptop and 2-in-1 7420 looked identical.
