Dell Latitude 3410 BIOS - Factory Mode Needed - XMC QH128AHIG

    Hi,

Can anyone please help with cleaning the ME firmware partition as well as putting the BIOS back into factory/engineer mode?

The BIOS chip is a XMC QH128AHIG.

The BIOS file has been dumped using a CH341a Programmer, in combination with the Colibri application. Colibri detects the chip as 'XM25QH128A' with capacity of '16Mx8'.

Its for a Dell Latitude 3410 laptop, Intel 10th Gen i5 processor.

The .bin file has been compressed to a .zip file using 7Zip.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

First of all you have two bios chips 8MB+16MB, so you must upload the dump from the second chip. Secondly what you're trying to achieve? Unlock or what?

      Thanks for your reply Vesko356.

You're right, there is another bios chip, this one being an XMC QH64AHIG.
The problem is that where its positioned a CH341a and clip device won't work, as there's a few resistors in the way blocking the clip from holding in position - I may need to buy a heat station of some sorts to detach and read the chip.

I've got a broken laptop and a working laptop (both are latitude 3410's) - the bios chip is at fault. If I can read the working laptops bios image, modify it so that the Service Tag matches my laptop, I'll get to keep the warranty etc.

As well, if there are any hidden menus within the bios that can be unlocked, that would be a bonus too.

Do you think this is possible?

      Thanks
