this one didnt work , keyboard flashing then off , could be my backup dump is bad? i read it tow time , i have an other backup file did it with flashrom, sorry for keep asking you

Your both files are Identical, try to put your original backup and see if the device will work or not.

yes you are right the original backup acting the same, i dont know if the chip gone bad or the dump file no good!

Make sure you have soldered the chip properly and didn't miss or move any component close to the bios chip.

i flash on chircuit (without removing chip.)

whe i plug power adapter caps led turn on.
if i press power nothing happen.

after some more tries to power - keyboard led turn on - fan no spin.

i made sure no parts been removed while putting back the chip , the chip is soldered just right , i believe the chip gone bad, ordered an other chip online, thank you so much , i appreciate you help

i tried this file same result.
laptop its dead.

I did not post quiqly - i wanted a replacement chip for bios, i found one in hp elitebook, so i tried this one. Same result.


caps light up when connected to power adapter. Dont react when pressed to change status
fan dont rotate.

its there other chip that its updated ? laptop was working, a frend of me let it to update de bios, with dell utility, i think his laptop have bitlocker (dell say that this can ruin bios update)

maybe other chip that its updated loose firmware? in this update?

sorry to bother you again , couldnt find 25r256jven chip on ebay , checked datasheet and found W25Q256JVEQ, based on datasheet they have the same output and input, and the same size, i have two laptops which i believe they need replacing chip , 3420 and 5420 both they have 25r256jven, i reflashed them with their backup dumps , but the laptops acting dead like no bios chip installed, with their original chips they come on but with flashing lights , colours on the screen .. etc( btw bothe of them were working before i touch them) , are they wrong chips? or do i need to do something before flashing them?
