    I had a dell laptop that shown an amber light as long as the power button was held, but nothing more.
    After reflashing the 8MB Bios with some file found here, the behavior changed; The laptop tries to power on but no display comes up, CPU spins at max speed and after a second it shuts down itself. Retries a second time and shuts down again.


    My service tag is 2G0ZY93
    I'm also attaching a dump of the 8MB bios, but I guess it is corrupted.


    Does some kind of signature is appended to the BIOS image using the service tag? Could this explain the observed behavior ?

      Hola buen dia,
      Me podrias ayudar con este BIOS, le meto otros bios y me pide tag, al meterlo no me lo guarda, pero con ete su original, no termina el post de encendido. Por favor. ETIQUETA: JWB9863

          Hi, please i need help with this bios, with the original bin the laptop turns on the screen backlight but doesn't do any more. I already tried with the bios of the post #14, the laptop turns on and has display, unfortunately the service tag number from the case is erased.
          Is there anything that can be done in this case? Thanks.
