sorry for late reply, i try ur file and many files above have same result: No display, fan spins very fast and the laptop restart many time. I try remove the cmos battery and the display comes. Your file works perfect, thanks so much.

I tried all the bioses posible the 16 and 8 still nothing all coils have voltages except the 2 cpu coils. Im attaching the original bios.

I had a dell laptop that shown an amber light as long as the power button was held, but nothing more.
After reflashing the 8MB Bios with some file found here, the behavior changed; The laptop tries to power on but no display comes up, CPU spins at max speed and after a second it shuts down itself. Retries a second time and shuts down again.


My service tag is 2G0ZY93
I'm also attaching a dump of the 8MB bios, but I guess it is corrupted.


Does some kind of signature is appended to the BIOS image using the service tag? Could this explain the observed behavior ?
