Hello, I dont know If I should ask here or somewhere else. I had a problem with last bios update for this exact laptop.

I got a CH341 Programmer, and flashed the bios above. device came back alive (which is great), but I don't know how to get my serial info and other stuff in the bios. any help would be appreciated.

You need to transfer the DMI block and Windows key from your original dump, off-sets are shown in post #2.

Do you think the new bios version works? If I update, will the device work again? FQCN30WW in official website. An error occurs while performing this update.

                Hey everyone,

I picked up a laptop off eBay recently. It boots into Windows just fine, but it’s got a BIOS password lock. I tried the usual easy guesses like “1234,” but no luck.

I tried disconnecting both the internal and CMOS batteries, but the password still sticks.

Rather than just returning it, I went ahead and de-soldered the BIOS chip and dumped the BIOS image (attached). I opened it up in a hex editor to see if I could spot the password, but no success so far. I’ve managed to crack BIOS passwords on other IdeaPads before using the method shown in [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhRw7ePhLKs). I also have the video’s author (“Wrong BIOS”) on Telegram, so I might reach out to them if needed.

I tried flashing the chip with a CH341 programmer using a .CAP file from Lenovo’s support page, but the file’s 16.8 MB and too large to program.

I also ran Lenovo’s BIOS update tool, but the password’s still there after the update.

Has anyone run into this before? Any other suggestions for getting past the BIOS lock? The original dump is attached if anyone wants to take a look.

                  Thread merged.
Type the laptop serial number, full name and model, motherboard model, etc.

Lenovo IdeaPad 3 - Hard Disk not recognized in BIOS
                    by mkdj
                    Dear all,

I have recently fixed a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 ALC6 that was not booting due to a BIOS issue. After flashing the BIOS, the laptop boots up, but hard disk is not recognized in BIOS. Is says "Hard Disk : Not Installed". I have tried with 2 different drives (one that I know is working on another laptop) but I get the same result. I do not know if disks were recognized before I got the laptop and fix it, but I don't see any reason why not. I can boot on USB though.

Here the steps I have taken to fix the laptop:

                    by jendkkd jeje
So a couple of years ago i got a bios update through Lenovo Vantage, so i installed it and bricked my whole BIOS, so i couldn't fix it so i put that ideapad in a box, 3 years later i found that one PC and want to recover it to switch from a 2014 hp laptop to this one.

I found a method to recover the BIOS of many lenovo laptops tha consists in pluging in a USB Flash with the BIOS files and power on the laptop with Fn + R keys pressed until fans go loud and start beeping loud, but nothing worked, so i think filename is wrong, i tried naming the bios file as 07WW.BIN, BIOS.BIN, BIOS.fd,...

Quick question — if I flash another BIOS dump from the same laptop model using a CH341 SPI programmer, will that remove the BIOS password?

If that’s the case, I’d really appreciate it if someone could share a compatible dump. I’ve attached my current BIOS dump for reference.

Also, do I need to transfer any serial numbers or other system information from the original BIOS to the new one? If so, could someone point me in the right direction on how to do that?

                    Thanks in advance!

Summary of BIOS Whitelist Removal Problem

                    Problem:
I am attempting to remove the WWAN card whitelist from my Lenovo ThinkPad T560.
                    Initial Findings:
                    • My current BIOS version is N1KET58W (1.45).
                    • I have a CH341A programmer and have successfully created two full backups of my BIOS.
                    • I have the ability to use command-line tools on a Linux machine.
                    Troubleshooting Steps & Conclusions:
                    • I attempted to use several automated and manual patching methods on my N1KET58W (1.45) BIOS, including using hex strings. These attempts all failed.
                    • I concluded that the
