Hi guys, can anyone help? I have a UEFI locked Surface Book (original version, model 1703) and I need to get into the BIOS settings to enable the camera but password has been lost.
I've been reading the threads regarding Surface Pro 3 and 4 and how they differ in UEFI protection - is the Surface Book more like a Pro 3 (where password can be retrieved from a BIOS dump) or a Pro 4 (where it looks at though flashing a new file is needed). Clearly I'd like to fix this without dismantling the screen (as I will break it) - can anyone offer me any help? [Can I re-activate the camera without needing UEFI password?]
