Ok , what does it mean ,, has 256 on top'' ? , i don't know much about these things , it took me 3 hours to manage to copy the bios .I ask you about that for my curiosity and learn something today . Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Another chip that is numbered like this: MX25L25673GZ4 or like this W25Q256FV. It could also be a W25Q64XXX. Look carefully for the trademark Windbond or MX (Matronix) on the chip, sometimes they have a blue dot on top. Chances are that it is under the main board. A previous poster has a very similar 16MB file as yours and also a W25Q64 (8MB). That one had the password.

I try again to save ,i don't know if i do it corectly ,now i see the .bin file have 8mb, if is not good either ,i'll come back after i study a little more about what i have to do. Now i'm at work until tomorrow. [by the way,with which program do you copy the bios ? ]
