Hi Everybody! Until now I have been able to unlock a couple of Thinkpads thanks to this system which I think is quite easy and straight-forward.
Anyway now I came across a P50, and it seems that autopatcher is NOT working: if I patch the BIOS, laptop boots up for 5/6 seconds but then it shuts OFF. NO video screen, NO beep codes.
What I did: dumped the file using a clamp (dumped twice, checked using certutil and generated same hash file so I moved on); patched with autopatched, loaded new BIOS. tried 3 times, same results...
Can it be because of the MACRONIX chip? That is the 1st one I am finding (previous ones were Winbond). Attacched original DUMP.

    Type: 20EQS28U03

    Bios MACRONIX MX25L12873F

NOPE... Unfortunately same behaviour as before: laptop does boot automatically once connected to AC, stays on for 4/5 seconds (fans 1/2 seconds), then turns OFF automatically. DOES NOT reboot. If I try to power-it on manually (power button) it starts, again for 5/6 seconds, then OFF. NO video, NO beeps. On the laptop I have video, ram (1 slot), keyboard, nothing else (NO CMOS, no battery, no ssd).

If I switch back to original BIOS (not patched) everything works normally (but with password). :-(

This is the second laptop I have and the password cannot be removed either (T470 and T480s) - it is restored by an unpatched BIOS. I assume that with some version the autopatcher does not work as expected

Patch is working for Lenovo E540 AILE2 NM-A161. Flash only 4mb and boot. Trick is start clicking Enter just before you see Lenovo logo otherwise laptop will freeze and then normally proceed with patching.

I did the whole process but the password is still on the bios

STEP 1: Flash and replace current BIOS with the generated patch file
                                      STEP 2: Boot the machine
STEP 3: Press ENTER/F1/etc. to enter BIOS settings
STEP 4: Enter any character when asked for Supervisor Password
STEP 5: Press enter when it shows Hardware ID
STEP 6: Press space bar 2x when asked
                                      STEP 7: Turn off machine
                                      STEP 8: Restore original BIOS
STEP 9: Reset BIOS settings to factory default

                                      Can someone advice please ?
