Try this and update make sure all battery is disconnected even cmos patch file plug charger and wait minComment

*Remove all batteries (main battery and RTC battery).
*Patch the bios and make sure to verify it so there aren't any errors when writing.
*Hold down the small switch on motherboard
*Connect charger (laptop should start automatically)
*Wait. It might even take minutes and laptop will beep/restart a few times.

hi
i have here x260 with corrupted bios,
during bios update laptop is shutt off.
i have tried the bios above created by Peste but its not working . 2x 5beeps
the bios of CrateRM is working but hangs on logo.
can someone help me to build a working bios?Comment

bios is working, but i cannot go into bios setup.
I get error press esc to continu or F1 to enter setup.
bu when press F1 only black screen, no bios setup screen.
and its starts after 20sec
i have found this bios.

did you try WITH FLASH bios from another dump ?

I would need to clean out the password from this dump.
I already saw in the forum that writing some zeroes starting from 0x3EF00 could do the trick, but just to be sure that I don't clear anything (MAC,..) unless absolutely necessary, I would appreciate you help!

Hello ,to all.
Yesterday i talked to Maxpower3 , because i had again the same problem with auto-patch ,from the website.
Laptop is working just fine. (before the auto-flash)
Now after the auto-flash , it's beeping like a scheme, sound, like cinderella or whatever ? (Strange music scheme ,but nothing on video).
If i program the old dump again , i'm sure that the laptop will come back alive.
But anyone can suggest what to do ,to remove the supervisor password ?

Did some experimenting to try supervisor password removal ... initially laptop has supervisor password and no computrace. I erase IT8186VG controller, it self-reprograms upon booting with serial number errors and supervisor password is gone but to my surprise computrace automatically activates ... I program a clean bios file downloaded and cut from website and upon booting, self-healing activates and upon checking setup, password still gone but computrace remains activated ... I write back backups of both Bios and EC and things are back to normal, that is supervisor password is back and computrace... -
