Lenovo ThinkPad T470s BIOS

After resetting the secure boot keys, my T470s is in a perpetual reboot cycle.
It briefly shows the message "Configuration changed - Restart the system." before each reboot.
My issue is identical to the one mentioned in this reddit post: ThinkPad T470 not booting after Secure Boot Key reset

Is this an issue that can be fixed with the methods in this forum?

To answer my own question -- YES!

I dumped the firmware using a Raspberry Pi, an SOIC8 clip, and flashrom.

I "reverse engineered" what hoaca388 did for huss584's firmware dump in post #20 of this thread.

EUFITool was very useful in that process but unfortunately I couldn't use it to fix my firmware. The old version with editing capabilities doesn't understand the firmware for the T470s (or at least not the section that I needed to edit.) And the new version of EUFITool doesn't yet have editing capabilities.

Instead, I just used a hex editor (imhex is great) and overwrote the necessary sections manually.

I then wrote the edited firmware to the chip. On the first boot I went in to the UEFI and loaded the defaults settings and set the date/time.

And my laptop is back from the dead!

Hello,

Something went wrong after a BIOS (ME/TPM?) update, I'm getting error 0832 at boot.

Shutdown from Windows don't work. Sleep mode put the PC in a weird state where the beep code for 0832 is played if I try to power it on.
I also don't have access to the Security Chip from BIOS anymore...

If the laptop is outputting an image on external monitor but not in screen itself you have a hardware fault not a bios problem.

T470s / Error 0288 / Black screen / External monitor working

Hello everyone and thank you for this forum (and in advance sorry if my post does not correspond to its rules)!
My T470s worked well until I changed the screen (with a not compatible?). After that, a series of beeps rang at startup (code 0288 with Lenovo PC Diagnostics) and the screen remains black... I put back the original screen, changed the cable connecting the screen to the motherboard without any improvement. Today, I can still use the T470s but with an external display...
I'm sending you the bios dump in the hope that it gets corrupted.
