    ME BIOS cleaning

I have this laptop who had some short in power lines and bios failure.I repaired short and i found some bios dump on the internet..and laptop would start..but with problems...the bios logo would turn on after 15 seconds or more...and it wouldnt install graphic card drivers (not recognised) so in bios i had only basic display adapter.
So i used Intel ME/TXE Injector to clean ME region. i have to mention that this is my first time to clean ME region. So i picked first Suitable ME version that program displayed (but not the same number as my BIOS ME version).
Now everything is ok, bios logo is up in 2 seconds, graphic card drivers installed...but one problem ...Intel Management Engine Interface is showing mark ! with error Code 10. i tried to install few other drivers...but after 30 seconds it goes back to error code 10. And i have to mention that i didnt have this error on not cleaned BIOS (that one with problems above).

So, what am i doing wrong? Did i have to use ME version with exact number as BIOS (even though the program is saying that others are suitable also) Or something else?
    thx

    Re: ME BIOS cleaning

You need to reinstall the windows ME driver .Get the driver from the laptops support page or use the latest from win-raid https://winraid.level1techs.com/t/in...ols-2-15/30719

        Re: ME BIOS cleaning

I don't recommend using this method to clean ME region since it doesn't keep the configuration set by the manufacturer. Better use Intel FITC. Follow win-raid tutorial (or some Youtube video…)

        You can also try
        Code:
        fptw64 -greset
        Using Intel FPT.

Also it could be that you used an incompatible version. Report MEAnalyzer for both the original dump and the cleaned dump.

9.0.30.1482_1.5MB_PRD_RGN.bin is available so use that one instead.

yeah, that did the trick...thx. But... when i installed it...everything was ok except when try to install graphic driver....error no compatible hardware detected...first i tried to reinstall chipset driver...but still same errorr...then i flashed bios...and finally gpu detected and driver installed...For now everything seems to be in working order...

Oh, one more thing, probably you are right and in the future i should use intel FITC for cleaning ME, but can you send me some youtube link on how to?

              Thank you!

                🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
                by macabook
                Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                🧩 Initial Issue
                • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                • External display (HDMI) shows

                by iZakre
                Hello everybody!

To put you in context I recently replaced the battery from my HP Pavilion 15 bc400ns with a used one, everything was going good. The same day, I decided to update the BIOS, everything went good. The thing occurred after I let the battery drain iddling on Windows 11 for the second time to calibrate it that the screen did not turn on again, the computer was on but the screen did not turn, like it would not wake from hibernation. I decided to restart the computer but got no video.

The thing is that I had installed TeamViewer and could log into the computer...

                by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

Summary of BIOS Whitelist Removal Problem

                Problem:
I am attempting to remove the WWAN card whitelist from my Lenovo ThinkPad T560.
                Initial Findings:
                • My current BIOS version is N1KET58W (1.45).
                • I have a CH341A programmer and have successfully created two full backups of my BIOS.
                • I have the ability to use command-line tools on a Linux machine.
                Troubleshooting Steps & Conclusions:
                • I attempted to use several automated and manual patching methods on my N1KET58W (1.45) BIOS, including using hex strings. These attempts all failed.
                • I concluded that the
