I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
🧩 Initial Issue- Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight

Hi everyone.
I have an engineering sample of a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 11th Gen (TYPE 21HM-2FVT05, S/N PF-40G7CD) with an Intel Core i7 1360P (ES – Intel 0000). Since this is an engineering sample, the BIOS had a massive number of various settings. One day, I was experimenting with the BIOS settings and, after saving them, the laptop stopped booting and played a melody after pressing the power button, signaling error code 0002 (Internal bus error), just like in this post: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...shooting-lapto... -

Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
Some issues
A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized
Things I tried

First of all, ive veen reading these forums for some time and its always veen very helpful, so i thank you all for this amazing comunity.
I have a lmq-2 13268-1 motherboard from a lenovo x1 carbon 3rd gen. And the MX25l12873f (U49) bios pin 8 is not getting voltage.
So far these are my diagnostics:
When given 19v trough power adapter, consumption reads 0.003 amps for about 5 seconds then nothing.
When power button pressed same result, and i get three green blinking lights from the pwr btn led. But foesnt turn on.
If i plug the battery...
