Lenovo Thinkpad E560 SVP Password ?

Hello,

I have a SVP Bios locked E560 , i have tried to find eeprom to reset it with contact ,on PS08 or etc. chip but can't find it.

I have also read that the SVP is stored inside the BIOS, on this model ,is it truth ? Maybe with a clear dump the password will be cleared?

They have an unlock service for thinkpads,if you can`t find a free option.

I don't want the BIOS , i have already found the BIOS.

I want the EEPROM.
I had a clean BIOS , dump that have soldered it, but again the SVP is still on.

So i need to find , the EEPROM to re-set it, and not pay the 65$ for no reason.

The password is stored in the MEC chip https://www.allservice.ro/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3044
You can flash the MEC with a clean dump,but you`ll need a KBC programmer such as SVOD
if you don`t have a kbc programmer the alternative is ....pay 65$.

"MEC1633 or equivalent", IT8586 is multicontroller in this mainboard, contains its own memory. Also the TPM chip P24JPVSP. The main problem is not programming but the content what to write.

Lenovo e560 use ITE8586E you need programmer ite... then remove.

What you mean ? The ITE chip ,has many legs as i can see the SVOD3 doesn't have so many positions for the chip.
