Re: HP DMI Tool NBDmiFit
wndmifit is included inside the nbdmifit folder. Page #1 post #1 of this thread has different nbdmifit versions, try 2.10 in UEFI.The site is working ok, no 404 pages for me. You can post your bios in the "Bios Requests" sub forum if you want someone to try repair it for you - https://www.badcaps.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=40

WnDmiFit 2.07 working properly - all data changed successfuly.
All done by creating pendrive in Rufus and used DOS version.

Re: HP DMI Tool NBDmiFit
Hello, I have an elitebook 9470m. I purchased a new motherboard and installed it. I have the error with the alert: "machine not in committed state"
I'm not sure how to go about fixing this, as I have read online many people have this problem with new motherboards. Windows boots and functions normally. Does anyone know if I can fix this with software? A new part is nice, but am I better off returning the motherboard for a used one?

Re: HP DMI Tool NBDmiFit
okay, so I've used the tool, and I've learned that I now need 2 things; the "Feature Byte", and the "Build ID".
My own bit of research tells me that the feature byte is a long, case sensitive string of letters and numbers and it looks like this:
2U3E3X47676J6S6b727B7H7M7R7S7W7m7saBb3da.3Y
(this feature byte is for a ProOne 600 G2)
As for build ID...
I can't commit the board until I enter these last two fields! Does anyone know how I can find that info?
I have a 9470m i7 motherboard with HD+ graphics (1600x900)
also, classic bart mooning smilie? heck yes!

Go to this site and enter your serial and country. With any luck the feature byte will be there.

take note that some version are not correct (limited information, missing readme etc)
for some laptops you need older, for some newer but there is plenty here
also, you need to use this tool in dos
and there is Manufacturing Program Mode Error solution here since it is related to bios programming
enjoy and remember to share versions you have or related fixes
