Re: HP DMI Tool NBDmiFit
Does anyone have a newer NBDmiFit? I have a 450 G5 that I got a replacement board from HP for and I don't think any in this thread are new enough.

Re: Flatron l246wp-bn White Screen
HA! I just zoomed in on the picture and I can see it is an AS15. It's very difficult to see the writing on the chip physically but it can be seen pretty clearly in the picture. Is this likely the issue then?

Sorry, I don't see any labeling on the chip. Here is a close up:...

The chip is not labelled. The board model is M240UW01 if that helps.

Re: Flatron l246wp-bn White Screen
The 5V off the power supply does read 5V, but oddly the 12V reads 14.4V.
Edit: I wanted to test the voltage on the T-Con again for good measure and realized the markings on the board don't actually correspond to the connector. So I tested with the proper pins and the voltage read 4.85, so I guess that's not the issue.Last edited by Dragunbayne; 10-14-2013, 07:48 AM.

Flatron l246wp-bn White Screen
The screen turns on and is bright white. I have checked for bad caps, checked the fuse on the T-con board and checked the power going into the T-con board. From the spec sheet I found it says the four vdd pins for the T-con should be 5 volts, they are less than 4. Could this be the cause of my problem? All help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Need help troubleshooting Sanyo DP42848.
Found the issue. Decided to get ambitious and took the panel apart. One of the ballasts for ccfls was sparking. Somehow the trace grounded out in one spot. We cut the trace and jumped it with a wire and hooked it all back up. The lights kick on completely now, but only for a couple of seconds, but this is likely due to one of the lamps being bad. A new lamp is on the way and should be here the end of the week. Thanks for the help, I will update when I get the new light!

Re: Need help troubleshooting Sanyo DP42848.
Yes 24V going to each board.
All connections and wires are good also.
Edit: Also do any of you happen to know how many lights are in this panel? I've been looking at it more and I'm starting to think the top and bottom on the right side is lighting, but not the right edge itself....Last edited by Dragunbayne; 05-10-2012, 06:29 PM.

Need help troubleshooting Sanyo DP42848.
Greetings!
I have a Sanyo DP42848 that I got very cheap because it was broke. The people had taken it to an actual repair shop which diagnosed it as needing new inverter boards. This was very obvious as the boards looked horrible, I'm thinking they overheated. Anways, I replaced both boards with new ones and now it turns on with only the left side lighting up and then the backlight shuts off. I'm assuming the protection circuit is shutting off the backlight because of whatever is causing the right side to not light up. I am very skilled with electronics repair, but do not have a...
