hello. i have t460 with supervisor password and i patched the original bios, the laptop turn on, but stuck on lenovo logo , what can i do? i atached the original bios

Upon powering up, press F1 when it shows LENOVO splash screen, then type 1234 as password and follow the rest of the instructions. If after trying this it still stuck at LENOVO logo, most likely the ThinkPad DOES NOT have the Supervisor Password set, or you can use a locked hard drive for the procedure to complete.

I have a Lenovo Laptop with this features...

Lenovo Thinkpad T460P (Late 2015 ) intel Gen 6th
Motherboard model : BT463-NM-A611-Rev -1.0

BIOS CHIP:
Winbond
25Q128FVSQ-1549

The BIOS has a supervisor password and it is locked. I tried to make a backup with the CH341A using a programmer clamp, apparently it was not done correctly and the .bin file is corrupt (The patch found errors). My question is the following, I hope you can clarify and help me... Can I download a clean/patch .BIN file without passwords for any T460p and flash the IC? Or is it that I necessarily need the original of my BIOS? I await your responses, thank you! Greetings!

I don't think that's a solution.

You don't need your original file to get it working again. And all dumps are without a password. That's because password is not located in bios chips on thinkpads.

Use the forum search for "L560" and read some other threads, try and do some research first before posting a bios and assuming it can be patched.

Hello, I have a Thinkpad X1 Carbon 3rd Gen. (20BS) It has a fingerprint lock in bios, if I skip fingerprint check it has a bios password. Don't really know more about the bios setting, since I cannot enter bios even in read-only mode. When I enter 3 incorrect passwords it just restarts. I patched the bios file and used CH341a to write it directly on the chip. I get 5 + 5 beeps and no display. After that, I wrote original bios and it's working the same as before (locked bios). I have attached original bios and patched bios. I think it might be ME Region Lock can anyone help with it?
