Hello, I have a Thinkpad X1 Carbon 3rd Gen. (20BS) It has a fingerprint lock in bios, if I skip fingerprint check it has a bios password. Don't really know more about the bios setting, since I cannot enter bios even in read-only mode. When I enter 3 incorrect passwords it just restarts. I patched the bios file and used CH341a to write it directly on the chip. I get 5 + 5 beeps and no display. After that, I wrote original bios and it's working the same as before (locked bios). I have attached original bios and patched bios. I think it might be ME Region Lock...

Help is still needed I have entered the bios and the supervisor password seems to be on so now I have no idea at all... I tried with and without SSD, with and without bios battery. Anti-tamper button pressed down. Pretty much out of options. Any help and I mean any help is greatly appreciated....

I have carbon x1 gen 3 (20BS) and I cannot unlock the bios. I get 10 beeps and no display with patched bios. The problem seems to be the absence of a supervisor password. Seems like I cannot unlock bios without it. But I cannot set the supervisor password, the bios has a fingerprint protection and startup password. I cannot enter bios even in read-only mode(or don't know how to). Is there any workaround for this problem? Is there any other way to patch the bios?

P.S. I have attached the original unmodded...

Hello, I managed to patch the bios on my X1 Carbon 3rd Gen. When I plug in the battery and turn the laptop on it beeps 10 times but there is no image. Can anyone help? Thanks ahead.

Hello, I've removed bios using Autopatcher on Thinkpad L580. I used CH341a and connected pins directly to the motherboard bios chip. It worked like a charm. Now I'm trying to unlock Thinkpad X1 Carbon 3rd Gen 2015. I bought it recently and found out it was bios locked. I tried using CH341a, and it seems to find something, but both lights on the CH341a controller light up and AsProgrammer cannot find the bios chip model. If I choose the bios chip model manually and read from the chip it gives a bunch of zeros. If anybody...

hello, I am having a problem with X1 Carbon Gen 1. The bios is locked with password and it boots to locked bios, but when I try to patch the bios file it gives following message.
