Hi. I have Lenovo T450 with password. I used this ste:
readchip, save bin, verify bin, erase, verify blank, autopatch my bin, write bin_patched, start laptop folow step on the screen (all ok), power off laptop, erase, verify blank, write my old bin. Password still here.
I have used this for T440 and T460 - all good
I have atached my bin

What type of password do this ThinkPad have? There are 3 types: Power-On Password, Supervisor Password and Hard-Drive Password. Maybe is the hard drive that is locked (CYLINDER+LOCK) and needs to be replaced.
Power on password. No hdd inside. it is touch version. Motherboard AIVLO NM-A251 rev 1.0
Power-On password is stored in CMOS volatile memory, meaning that in order to clear it all you have to do is to remove/disconnect all sources of energy for 1-2 minutes (main battery, internal battery, CMOS battery, ac adapter), then reconnect.
The procedure/patched files in this thread are specific to clear Supervisor Password and to deactivate CompuTrace.
It work. Thanks AAAC !No Power-on password. Disconect ac adapter, internal battery, CMOS baterry, push power buton few times for discharging and no password after.
Tried unlocking T14 through JTAG and was successful in reading MEC1663 .. but
serial numbers were nowhere to be found in the dump, but they were in the bios instead. I blanked the MEC and waited in the hope that the Bios will rewrite it but nothing happened. So I wrote a clean dump into the chip and booted the Thinkpad (holding my breath..) and was greeted with a Supervisor password prompt..(WTF??!!) SO I said to myself perhaps the pass is in the Bios , since it's the first time I've seen serial numbers in the Bios.. I wrote back Clean firmware from Lenovo website and still.. password prompt!!.. SO that leaves to believe the password is now stored elsewhere.. perhaps in the TPM chip?(ST33HTPH2E32) since that chip also has flash memory.. For those who want JTAG_RST# location, I've posted it below.. hope we all put our heads together to come up with a solution..

After you have READ, ERASED and PROGRAMMED EC/KBC seems as the Supervisor Password is still set (most likely still in EC/KBC RAM), so try disconnecting all source of energy for 2-3 minutes, reconnect and try again. You will then need to program laptop DMI like serial number, model number, etc. using Lenovo EFI utility.
