special section for BIOS and schematic requests

Hi, I've been away for awhile but looking over the site today I think it might be a good idea to have a permanent section to cater for the large number of bios requests and schematics. That would remove all these posts from main thread section and be a sort of repository for bios's and schematics. Is it possible to do this moderators?

That's a good idea but advantages and disadvantages are there.

              gns1199: make your own thread

sparker, passete: agree, it would be very helpfull. I can imagine a section with one thread for one mobo itself to share BIOS and schematic or MB high resolution photo

                🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
                by macabook
                Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                🧩 Initial Issue
                • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                • External display (HDMI) shows
                ...

BIOS for HP 15-an004TX Star Wars Special Edition (8MB BIOS)
                by Loki_Fido
                Hi ya folks,

I have a HP Star Wars Special Edition laptop for fixing.
System pulls the right voltage and fan spins but nothing on the screen
                Im leaning towards BIOS.

Ive checked the BadCaps and found that HP 15-an***** are all 16MB files. But my lap has 8MB file.
So, i couldn't find my BIOS here.

Anyone happened to have this BIOS for me?

Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 (serial number: MP2BFZEF) bios request
                by Wahaz
                Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

Summary of BIOS Whitelist Removal Problem

                Problem:
I am attempting to remove the WWAN card whitelist from my Lenovo ThinkPad T560.
                Initial Findings:
                • My current BIOS version is N1KET58W (1.45).
                • I have a CH341A programmer and have successfully created two full backups of my BIOS.
                • I have the ability to use command-line tools on a Linux machine.
                Troubleshooting Steps & Conclusions:
                • I attempted to use several automated and manual patching methods on my N1KET58W (1.45) BIOS, including using hex strings. These attempts all failed.
