Hi Folks, i got a locked Elitebook 840 G3, unsoldered the IC (winbond 25q128fvpq) and unlocked it with RCunlocker. I successfully soldered it back in, but now i got a "Athentification failure" error.
Here is the orginal bios dump as well as the unlocked one:

Bios requests must now include the laptop serial number, please read the updated rules.
If someone would be able to provide some expertise, I'd be very grateful.
BIOS Corruption - Cause
So I managed to corrupt my machine by installing linux and enrolling custom secure boot keys. I did choose to enroll the Microsoft keys as well, to prevent any potential bricking due to 3rd party drivers from HP being signed with those keys.
After doing that, and rebooting(it did boot, powerLED, fanspin etc.), the laptop did not give any video output on the LCD or video connectors. I think I was able to get in BIOS and trigger the beeper by pressing ESC....
I havent done this for a long time and want to start it all again, after some evil and annyoing illness.
So I apologize in advance, if some phrases might sound a bit like gibberish or illogical to you.
Im trying my best to fully describe what I plan to achieve and hope I was choosing the right sub-forum for my new adventure.
I have a Elitebook 820 G1 and a Elitebook 840 G2 here.
These ask for a password when entering the BIOS, but boot just fine from the internal SSD.
I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown: 🧩 Initial Issue
Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
Hello guys, I saw your posts of "hoaca388" on this fourm helping others which is very nice of him,
i do have an HP 860 G10 LOCKED, i looked at the bytes he change after an unlock and applied the same on my bios file but i get error that "bios was recovered from EC chip due to data mismatch, do you guys think you can help? if so here is my main bios backup, if i have to backup EC chip, i will, Thank you so much...
I have an EliteBook 850 G5. After a Windows update, including a BIOS update, the notebook turns on, but the screen remains black, and the fans spin at high speed—nothing else happens.
I assume the BIOS update failed, so I searched for the BIOS chip.
I found a Winbond chip located between the RAM and the hard drive, which has a size of 32 MB.
However, the BIOS update available on HP's website is only 17 MB in size. I used the update version that was previously installed when the notebook was still working.
