    Samsung NP300V5A-A0DUK bios

    Hi All,

I've got the above laptop and it seems to be stuck in a bios recovery loop. It will actively search the CD/DVD drive every boot if there's a disc inserted.

I have searched high and low on the internet, and now my fingers are sore!

Does anyone have the bios for this laptop?

    Further board info:

    model np300v5a - a0duk

    Board id ba92 08469b

bios ver 08fi - would need probably 10FI, bios downgrade protection...

    label reads 08FI BA92-08469B 0622

    Many thanks

        @Cyberhack

What did you use to dump the rom? I have had to remove SVP PW's from IBM Thinkpads in the past, but have never played with bios dumps....

The spec comparison of the two boards seems too far apart for success tho:-(.

@Highpulse - I hate HP too, maybe they are one and the same!

Have you got that rom handy:-)?

            @Cyberhack

Thanks for a great tool. I have had a play with it on a live system and confirmed that it does do what it says!! Unfortunately the Samsung I'm working on is a non-booter:-(.

I have researched a way to read an write to the bios chips directly. I'm currently trialling Rayners SPIPGM software with a homemade LPT interface. The initial results are very positive.

idoneus i had this problem yesterday , and in the end was a configuration on the bios , disable EFI if running on windows 7 , it was always in loop during post due to not finding or start thru the hdd .
in any case wich is the size of your rom , i got 2 different rom , one with 4MB and another with 8mb , wich one is yours ?

Samsung Series 9 - BIOS issue
                  by Kjell
After installing Linux, I can no longer enter the BIOS of my Samsung Series 9 (NP900X3C) laptop. When pressing [F2] during boot I simply get a black screen. Same thing when pressing [F10] and choosing "Setup" from the "App Menu" tab. Apparently this is a relatively common issue with Samsung laptops of that generation, but unfortunately i haven't been able to resolve the issue (yet).

Things i've tried so far; reinstalled Windows 10, checked for redundant boot entries, tried to factory reset using the emergency keyhole, attempted to clear the NVRAM by physically...

                  🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
                  by macabook
                  Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                  🧩 Initial Issue
                  • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                  • External display (HDMI) shows
                  ...

I need a BIOS dump for the Samsung S49CG934SU monitor
                  by Habble7
The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.

                  Suspected Cause:
I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.

                  Troubleshooting Attempts:

                  Hi all,

My Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 15.6-inch laptop has no display and won't boot.
The charging red LED lights up, but the charging screen doesn't show any indication.
When I press the power button, the blue LED cycles on and off three times, then the screen doesn't turn on, and the device won't boot.
(I've tried removing the battery and resetting the device, but the issue persists.)
