Help needed | Remove Power-ON password on Proline V146GNK (SU_GN100_MB_V12_20231120A)

    Hi BadCaps team,

I’m asking for a bit of community help with a Proline notebook that’s stuck with a Power-ON (BIOS) password. The laptop has very limited info available and I suspect it may be a local (South African) Proline board. Thought I’d check here in case anyone has seen this one before.

    What I have:
    • Model: Proline NoteBook V146GNK
    • Board: SU_GN100_MB_V12_20231120A
    • Serial: GN10Q12124205W1588
    • Notes: 12V main board. Very little documentation available.

    What I’d like to request:
    • Has anyone dealt with this Proline board before or seen matching BIOS/firmware files?
    • Is there a known vendor default password for this board/model?
    • If it’s possible to extract the password from a BIN/BIOS dump (or you have a BIN), could you please advise or share.
Below is a picture of the password screen and main board, including BIN.
