    hp 8570p and also a hp8470p bios locked cant get rc unlocker to load/work

    as above really in title.
    hp 8570p and also a hp8470p bios locked cant get rc unlocker to load/work error messages same with hp unlocker.

    cant seem to find hpunlocker now, ive tried downloading so many things and trying them, wasted 8hrs already.
    any help would be great, thanks in advance.

          just ordered bios chips, given up trying to get password recovered

              You give up too easily. Ususally the problem is down to making a bad backup or choosing the wrong type of chip. If you chose an OTP chip it will add extra code at the end, it will be 16,385kb when it should be 16,384kb ,if so then HP/RC unlocker won`t work. If your programmer is an XGEKU with the latest software that will add an unneeded configuration file at the end, making it too long. There could be some other reason, don`t know unless you post your backups.

                  hello friends - I have purchased a used Thinkpad X13 Gen 3 AMD variant and only after making the purchase I realised that the BIOS is locked. I have spent a bit of time browsing the forum and from what I understand it's possible the modify the BIOS that is currently on the machine and remove the password from that BIOS. For dumping the BIOS from the laptop I have ordered this ch341a programmer. Below is a photo of the password prompt:


                  I have taken the cover off the laptop and I found that "serial number" is "GM-0358MB" and "type number" is "21CN-S19U00"....

                  Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
                  With original bios no POST, only LED lights
                  With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                  Some issues
                  A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
                  B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                  Things I tried

                  Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

                  Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...
