Thank you for this, but after flashing the bios & verifying the laptop is no longer initialising charging at 20v, rather its stuck at 5v. Prior to flashing the BIOS, the PD controller was negotiating and charging at 20v.

Please can you check the 1MB winbond 25Q80 dump of the TBT rom to see if its corrupted.

Hi guys,

Could someone help me with a repair on my bios, for the same laptop
On the original bios the laptop was only powering on for 1 second and caps blink ones and shut right down, I have downloaded the bios from thread #4 and the laptop is powering on and fully boots to windows.
The issues that I have now are that every time I start the laptop, on the first splash screen I do get a message with " Manufacture programing device in unlock mode" and was wondering if anyone could have a look at my bios dump and maybe fix it for me as I'm not that smart and capable to do it myself.

the bios from post #4 is virgin, use the HxD program (it's free on the internet), enter both bios into the program (your laptop and the virgin one),
select that interval mentioned in both bios, copy the interval in your bios and pass it to the virgin bios (copy - paste)....and that's it...


that is if you still have the old bios...

Sorry guys just seen my mistake, that was a different bios for a envy 15-fh, and will try to attach the proper one this time if someone with more brains than me can help.
I did try to use the HxD but that's how far I got, and got stuck and don't know how to select the right interval and copy over.
