    Hp elitebook 8 g1i

Hello, I see on a site of used things this pc, that it is not yet on sale on the market. the seller told me that there is a message of this type (I attach a photo) and I don't know if I have the bios blocked or if the pc components are not working. I don't care if the message appears, but that the pc is fully functional. Advice?

It`s a laptop that was sent out for review. The bios/firmware is signed with a different private key to production machines. If its functional its up to you if you want to buy it or not. If you do buy it make backups of both bios chips as they will be your only chance of recovery in future if something went wrong with the bios. You can`t flash a production bios to it.It wouldn`t be possible in my opinion to make it into a normal laptop without changing the SOC, both bios chips and maybe even the EC chip as well.

HP Elitebook 820 G4 BIOS repair assistance required

      Hi guys,

If someone would be able to provide some expertise, I'd be very grateful.

      BIOS Corruption - Cause
So I managed to corrupt my machine by installing linux and enrolling custom secure boot keys. I did choose to enroll the Microsoft keys as well, to prevent any potential bricking due to 3rd party drivers from HP being signed with those keys.
After doing that, and rebooting(it did boot, powerLED, fanspin etc.), the laptop did not give any video output on the LCD or video connectors. I think I was able to get in BIOS and trigger the beeper by pressing ESC....

The right BIOS Programmer - The right software (HP Elitebook 820 G1, 840 G2) no soldering, EC, DMI, ME

      Greetings badcaps community,

I havent done this for a long time and want to start it all again, after some evil and annyoing illness.
So I apologize in advance, if some phrases might sound a bit like gibberish or illogical to you.

Im trying my best to fully describe what I plan to achieve and hope I was choosing the right sub-forum for my new adventure.

      I have a Elitebook 820 G1 and a Elitebook 840 G2 here.

These ask for a password when entering the BIOS, but boot just fine from the internal SSD.

      I learned that desoldering...

HP Elitebook x360 1040 G5 - This BIOS is Not for Production Use
      by cyborg17b
      Hi guys,

I have acquired a HP Elitebook x360 1040 G5 laptop with the motherboard model BLURR-6050A2999101-MB-AX3(S3).
The laptop is actually engineering sample, as it displays this message on the boot screen: "Your system is not fully configured. pLease contact HP customer support.
Warning: This BIOS is Not for Production Use".

I had purchased a BIOS chip from ebay to replace the BIOS with the error message, but once installed in the motherboard in the WSON8 adapter, I think their technology "SureStart"...

      🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
      by macabook
      Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
      🧩 Initial Issue
      • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
      • External display (HDMI) shows

      Elitebook 850 G5 BIOS bricked
      by Guest
      Hello,

I have an EliteBook 850 G5. After a Windows update, including a BIOS update, the notebook turns on, but the screen remains black, and the fans spin at high speed—nothing else happens.

I assume the BIOS update failed, so I searched for the BIOS chip.

I found a Winbond chip located between the RAM and the hard drive, which has a size of 32 MB.

However, the BIOS update available on HP's website is only 17 MB in size. I used the update version that was previously installed when the notebook was still working.

      Can the corrupted...
