HP OMEN 17-ck2002nr (83H02UA) bad ME region

Hello everyone, Due to a bad bios flash this Omen has a weird issue.

In the BIOS it says the ME version is 0.0.0.0 and when I try to update the BIOS it writes the bios region but when it reaches the firmware and ME it says it failed.

Tried HP USB recovery way and nothing worked.

I am kinda stuck, the main problem right now is the laptop would boot within 5 mins until the ME drivers load in windows and all works normally.

Hey thanks for the link, tried following the guide for the MEA and ME fix but I was stuck after creating the MEA EXE as I am not sure what files to put in and what info to parse

post the original bios S/N, etc...

how come you don't have the bios? extract the contents of the bios chip with the programmer, make a copy and post it here...

I tried, after flash, the ME region is still bad. Seems like ME is not on this chip!
I found a seperate ME region file in the HP official website see below: but I did not found any 4M chip on the board.

Serial number ?

The bios chip of this model is 8MB, be careful when choosing.

SN is 5CD32475VR;
The main bios is 16MB, but there is a seperate file named ME for 4MB, I cannot find that chip. I flashed the main bios 16MB, did not solve the problem.

Yes, the bios file is 16MB. Why don't you post a bios backup and use a new one ?
