      Hi hoaca388,

Do I use both .rar files attached ? Do I have to enter the DMI information?

tried flashing 084b9.rar and same result. 5 long 4 short.
tired flashing 084c0.rar and receiving "Buffer size not equal to IC size"

does this unit have 2 bios IC? I removed the board and checked the other side, seems it only has one?

          UPDATE:
I did compare the original bios that I uploaded to 084B9.rar and both are exactly the same. I extracted the original bios from hp drivers support and compared and the DMI and BID information is the same that Hoaca388 uploaded and original upload provided in post 1. Am i missing something here? please correct me if i am wrong.

The file you need to flash is 084B9.
            DMI starts from 220000h ---> 223FFFh
This is the origin bios, if your device doesn't work it means it has a hardware error.

HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2523nd - Dimm2 slot disabled after corrupt bios repair? Advice requested.
                by Bloodhoundje
                Hi everyone,

I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.

I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.

After initial testing I concluded the bios seems to be corrupted since all voltages are normal and there are no shorts. HP has a feature for a bios restore from USB with winkey+B for this model. This did not work.

I have desoldered the bios chip (GigaDevice...

                🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
                by macabook
                Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                🧩 Initial Issue
                • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                • External display (HDMI) shows
                ...

[Problem/ Request] Bricked TongFang GK7MRFR BIOS
                by cr4zychriss
                Hello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details

Need BIOS for HP Pavilion 15-n058sr recovery - Caps Lock blinking twice
                by sssssssssssssss
                Hello everyone,

I'm dealing with a classic BIOS corruption issue on an HP Pavilion 15-n058sr and hoping someone here might have the original BIOS file or point me in the right direction.

                Symptoms:
                • Laptop powers on but no display at all (completely black screen)
                • Caps Lock blinks twice with a pause, then repeats continuously
                • F12 LED stays on permanently
                • No POST, no boot sequence, nothing on screen

Based on HP diagnostic codes, the 2-blink Caps Lock pattern indicates BIOS corruption/failure.

                What I've tried:
                • Hardware reset (battery removal, power
                ...

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo UX8402ZA BIOS
                by pirati
                Hello everyone,

I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.

When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.

I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...
